List Archive for: Prayer Over the City Below, you will see the most recent archives for this list. Date: 11/24/2010 Good Evening!
We have been in transition! I am excited to update you about recent changes for Prayer Over the City. Early in November we elected three new members to the Board. Welcome to Kirk Smith and Allan Pazia and myself. Kirk will step into the role as President and Allan will fill the role of Secretary/Treasurer. Eric Phinney stepped down as Chair of the Board and I want to thank him for all of his work over the past years.
Now that we have a new Board in place we are working at making the transition to East Gate Ministries (East Gate House of Prayer). We no longer have the Prayer Over the City Website. We are asking intercessors and leaders who would like to continue to receive updates, to link to the new website for East Gate House of Prayer. The web address is www.eastgateministriescanada.ca
Also I want to remind you that intercessors gather corporately on Monday evenings, 7:00 pm at Rothesay Vineyard Church in Quispamsis. All are welcome to attend and join us in lifting up this City, Region and Nation for the Lord!
Many blessings to each and everyone!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Smith

Greetings,
Would you please be kind enough to send out the following prayer request to the Prayer Over The City network. I have been invited to be interviewed on CBC radio, Friday morning, 7:40, about how the closing of the Canadian Bible Society store will affect people here. Please pray for me , that I will know what the Lord wants me to say, and that He will be glorified through me. Sincerely, and dependent on the Lord, Edward Powell

Word from James Goll for Canadaby Ears ToHear on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 4:30pm
Just wanted to get this out there... Last week at the True North Conference in Winnipeg James Goll released a couple of key prophetic words for Canada. Here is the one we need to mobilise on right away:
We'll be linking the other word to the Ears2Hear page in the next little bit so you can hear that one too, but please be in prayer about how to respond during this short 4 month window. Feel free to post what you discern on our wall or message us. Date: 10/1/2010 Also to note that on Thanksgiving weekend Alistair Petrie will be at St James the Less Church on Saturday (9 am) through to Monday (Sunday off for Thanksgiving). He will be teaching on City Transformation etc.! Expect great things from this! I encourage you to consider attending this event! Remember East Gate House of Prayer is meeting on Monday evenings at Rothesay Vineyard at 7 pm for worship and corporate intercession! Blessings to all! Jen Smith

Hi All,
Below is a copy of an email we received from Edward Powell from Grand Bay Baptist. He has asked us to hold this up in prayer. Thanks so much.
Blessings!
Dear Jen and Mike You may have heard of the fatal accident with the cyclists on the highway yesterday. We at Grand Bay Baptist are billeting the other members of the group. Please pray that the Lord will work in this situation and show us and the Wesleyans what we are to do to fulfill the Lord’s agenda, . If you have a way of passing this on to Prayer over the City, I would appreciate it. Thank you. Sincerely in Christ, Edward Powell Date: 8/28/2010 Hi All! Just to let you know that East Gate House of Prayer will be meeting at Grace Harvest this coming Monday August 30th from 7-9. Grace Harvest meets at Douglas Ave. Christian Church at the North end of Douglas Ave. (actually East end in the North end!) I would encourage you to join us for this time of worship and intercession. POTC has not met in a couple of weeks as we have felt to take a break. The next step will be discerning and moving into what God has next. I am really excited about the possibilities! The prayer network in this City is vital right now so I encourage you to join us as we seek the Lord together for City and Regional transformation! Maybe we will see you on Monday evening at Grace Harvest! Blessings to you as we step into yet another season with the Lord! Jen Smith
Date: 8/17/2010 I just wanted to draw your attention to an event that is happening this Friday August 20th at 7:30 at St. Malachys High School. A group of young folks from the Catholic Church in the South End are organizing an interdenominational Youth Worship event called "We are the Body". There are a couple of Churches helping out with music including myself and Michael. This is answered prayer as weeks ago at a Prayer Over the City gathering, we were praying for Unity in the Body! We are seeing this happening around us! Praise God for the young people in getting a vision for this! May it be multiplied in our City! UNITY Please join us if you can in holding this event up in prayer and if you are able to attend, you are welcome! In the meantime, keep pursuing the King! We will keep you posted about future POTC gatherings soon. In Christ Jen Smith

Date: 7/25/2010 I hope you had a great weekend!! Here is the latest on Micah...... Blessings!! Dave Hi Everyone, Katie just called and Micah is home!!! The plastic surgeon saw him late this afternoon and said he does not need surgery, he will heal on his own!. His cheek bone is fractured but not shattered, some nerve damage but it will heal in 6-8 weeks. The break in his nose is the kind that will heal up well too. He was not happy with the stitching over his eye and said he wants the stiches out on Monday and if Micah doesn't like what he sees, he will re do them. He is on crutches, off work for two weeks, on pain medicine as needed and just needs to rest. So needless to say we are all wild with excitement and praise!! If only you could have seen him 48 hours ago and then see him now, you would know what a miracle God has done!! We are humbled at God's expression of love, grace and power. Thank you again from all of our family, Rhonda and David Date: 7/24/2010 Hi All,
We have so much to be thankful for! I t is amazing to see the power of prayer in action with the wonderful news about Micah Peterson's quick recovery! Praise God!
We don't want to lose sight and momentum in this important time of prayer for our City. Thank you to all who gathered last Wednesday at Stone Church. It was an amazing time of worship and intercession for the Unity of the Body in this region.
For those who were unable to attend, we are going to gather again on THURSDAY JULY 29TH (7:00 PM) AT TAYLOR COLLEGE, 105 MOUNTAINVIEW DR. IN SAINT JOHN. We are very fortunate to have Taylor College and Threshold Ministries National Headquarters (formerly Church Army) based in Saint John. This Ministry is vital to the raising up and training of Evangelists in the Body of Christ. Please join us as we seek the Lord together for the Destiny of this Ministry to be fulfilled in our midst. All are welcome!
Blessings to All!
Jen & Michael Smith
Date: 7/22/2010 Hi Again!! Here's the latest from Dave and Rhonda........ Praise The Lord, but do keep praying for a complete recovery!! Blessings!! Dave W Hi, We are so happy to report that Micah has had an amazing day! The swelling in his face went down significantly, the cat scan showed no swelling on the brain, he was able to open his left eye and there was no damage to his sight. The neurologist said he is pleased with his progress and now the plastic surgeon needs to look at the catscan reports and decide if some reconstruction is needed to is face. If so, he will need to stay in the hospital for that surgery, if not he may be able to go home early next week. It has been a very emotional 24 hours but we are so grateful to God for sparing Micah's life. The doctor said the fact that he was wearing his helmet saved his life. We are still not sure exactly what happened but a witness told the police Micah was biking uphill, standing up, with his head down when a tractor trailer pulled out. Probably the driver didn't see Micah and Micah didn't see him so they collided. Micah took the impact to his face. It is a miracle that he did not break any other bones. He has a bad,, sprain/ fractured ankle but that's it, besides his face. Micah has been very moved and touched by those who have already come to see him and just be with Katie. His cousin Sarah and her husband Davey showed up last night shortly after we arrived and surprised us all. It was time for a good cry! So they had a extra long day. They had driven from Montreal yesterday to pick up Sarah's sister, Rebecca, who flew home from Europe. Sarah stayed over night and watched Eben today. Thanks guys! We love you! Katie has been amazing! She is due with their second child in 5 weeks so we are all praying the baby doe not come early! She needs her coach by her side. God is at work drawing his people together in prayer and we are so thankful for each one of you. It is so wonderful to belong to the Body of Christ especially at times like this. We are not alone, what a comforting thought. Expressions of love are already pouring in and we are overwhelmed by the love and care of family and friends for our children. We will bring Eben home tonight and his Nana Stewart will pick it up tomorrow evening and be with him and Katie on the weekend. We are hosting an IFFD on Sat so we would appreciate prayer. We were willing to cancel but Micah wants us to carry on. Hearts full of gratitude and praise Rhonda and David Date: 7/22/2010 Micah had a bad accident yesterday, he collided with a transport truck on his bicycle, we are in Moncton with Katie and would appreciate prayer. Micah suffered a severe concussion and amnesia, broken bones on the left side of his face, bruises all over and a sprained ankle. He was stable last night when we came home to rest a bit. We are on our way to the hospital right now to see the neurologist, he will have another catscan today and the plastic surgeon will have a consultation to see what he needs done. We'll update everyone later today. Thank you for praying Rhonda and David Date: 7/21/2010 Just a quick note to ask that you would pray for Micah Peterson, Dave and Rhonda Peterson's son. He was hit by a transport truck as he was riding his bike, so please keep him in your prayers. Thank you and God Bless you all!! Dave
Date: 7/7/2010 Hello Everyone!
I hope this great warm summer weather is keeping you well and not too hot. I said it was going to be a hot summer, thank goodness it cools off in the evenings!
I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us on Wednesday July 21st at 7:00 pm at St. John's (Stone) Church at 87 Carleton St. for a time of seeking what the Lord is saying to us in these days. Of course with a recent change in leadership with POTC, one of the questions I have been asking the Lord is, what is next? and how should we proceed? I do beleive the Lord is going to continue to release us to tackle strategic points through prayer as we are faithful to pray "onsite with insight."
So if you feel to join us on this date, please do come. I appreciate your dedication to see this City and Region transformed for the Lord.
Many blessings and Greater Revelation Released to God's people!
Sincerely,
Jen Smith

Date: 4/18/2010 Date: 4/18/2010 Some times, these days, it is really hard to see that it is Spring, especially back here in the Maritimes. We know that it is because our calendars tell us so, but the weather is not all that warm, the rain is cold, and the flowers have yet to appear on the earth (at least around my house). But Spring is here and with it comes change. So this is just a quick little note to let you know of some changes that are happening in the Warren family. Joanne and I have been hearing the call of the Lord, to rejoin family in Saskatchewan, so our plan is to head west the first week of July, Lord willing. Prayer Over The City will continue to meet Friday afternoons at Germain Street Baptist Church, and we will continue to pray for this great old city. We will be sending out a note about some "coming events," so stay tuned. It has been great to work and labour with you all, and hopefully we will see you before we go. I do want to thank each one of you, and your families for releasing you to come and pray, and for lending your time and talent to praying for this great old city. We know that God is going to pour out revival here, and so we wait with you for the manifestation of His promises and destiny! May the Lord bless you richly!! Because of Calvary!! Dave Warren
